Bicycle parking for airports

Thanks to the League of American Bicyclists for pointing this out:
U.S. Rep. Jim Oberstar said that two words would be added to the next Federal Aviation Administration trust fund.

"Bicycle storage," Oberstar said of the addition he vows to make to the $3.5 billion fund.

That means airports will be able to apply for grants from the fund to build places to ride and park bikes safely.
Further details, and the interesting story of how this came about, are in the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. This will be welcome news to the folks at the Miami-Dade Bicycle-Pedestrian Advisory Committee, who dream of giving bicycle tourism a big lift with accommodations for bikes at the multi-modal center soon to be built east of Miami International Airport.
