Let's get organized

If you want to make South Florida a better place to ride in, here's your chance. Come out on Wednesday, July 18, for the first public meeting of the Green Mobility Network. It's being started by bicyclists who are not content simply to complain about dangerous roads, missing bike lanes, neglected trails or discourteous motorists.

This group includes a handful of riders who nearly two years ago began to look for ways to make things better. We found out that a few can make a big difference by working together and focusing our energy on specific goals. Now we're ready to grow.

All cyclists who have wanted better and safer places to ride, and wanted more people to appreciate the fitness and personal mobility that bicycling provides, are invited to join us. Here's the when and where:

Wednesday, July 18
7-8:30 p.m.
Clubhouse, Palmetto Golf Course
9300 SW 152nd Street (Coral Reef Drive)
(That's one block west of U.S. 1, the Busway and the South Dade Trail, or 2.3 miles east of the Florida's Turnpike exit onto Coral Reef Drive.)

I'll write more about it here as the date approaches. Or you can drop me a note with questions.

This sounds great - I'm bummed to be out of town for it. Anyhow, that night put a doll in a chair with a name tag for me to show my support.
Hope to catch the next one.
