Helmet law kicks up a dust storm

Here's an interesting debate among public health experts about Israel's new law requiring all bicycle riders to wear helmets. The argument was made that riding is so beneficial, overall, that the helmet law should be scrapped because some people will give up riding rather than be inconvenienced. That's odd; I'd put protecting my brain somewhere above a question of convenience. The report's in the Jerusalem Post.
