Any city can make streets for the people
Bicycle enthusiasts have been buzzing about Ciclovía, the weekly street festival in Bogota, Colombia, where major streets throughout the city are opened up weekly to bicyclists, skaters, runners and people who merely like to stroll. I'm among the fans of the concept, now being tried in several North American cities. Now there's a fun video that shows a Ciclovía in progress, thanks to the folks at Streetsblog and Transportation Alternatives. I do recommend it.
