Bike association elevates Henderson

Congratulations to David Henderson of Coral Gables, left, the new president of the Florida Bicycle Association. He's the group's former secretary, a certified bicycle-safety instructor and an avid runner -- not to mention bicyclist. I know him best in his role as bicycle-pedestrian coordinator for the Miami-area Metropolitan Planning Organization.

The rest of the leadership: Raphael Clemente, vice president; Don Braverman, secretary; Steve Diez, treasurer, and board members Linda Crider, Dan Moser and Mighk Wilson. Wilson just wrapped up four years as FBA president.

In the photo, Henderson is with the state DOT's Victor Ortiz and Miami-Dade Transit's Isabel Padron on LeJeune Road.
