A champion of livable communities

U.S. Rep. Earl Blumenauer was home in Portland a few days ago, getting ready to run for re-election. As regular readers here know, he's a champion of the bicycle for improving urban life and relieving our reliance on oil. Said Blumenauer: “Families cycling on bicycle boulevards are an indicator species of a livable community.” There's more about his thoughts at grid impact.
