Films, workshop for Bike Month

I got so busy I neglected to report a couple of Bike Month activities I like. The first is a Bike Film Festival that happens March 5-7 at Wallflower Gallery in downtown Miami. Offerings will include the cyclists' classic We Are Traffic, a documentary about the San Francisco origins and growth of Critical Mass. Wallflower is at 10 NE 3rd St., and the films start at 7 p.m. A donation of $5 is suggested.

There's also a free program on March 12 for people thinking about commuting by bike. Three commuters -- Noel Cleland, Terry Connor and Ken Murray -- will share tips and advice they've learned from their daily cross-town rides. This takes place at Mack Cycle & Fitness, a block off the M-Path at 5995 Sunset Drive, South Miami.

Both events were organized with the help of Green Mobility Network. Bike Month activities throughout South Florida may be found at South Florida Commuter Services. Just click on the Bike to Work button.
